four parts, that are “Das Rheingold”,
“ Di Walkuere”, “Siegfried”, and “Goetterdaemmerung”. Wagner's work contains
many motives, this work may involve all of them among this series. On the other hand, any chorus is hardly found in this series.
The only expection is a mail-voice chorus as found in this work, which Mehta judges as no value. |

ニーベルングの指輪（RING)は4夜にわたる4部作で、前夜がラインの黄金、第1夜がワルキューレ、第2夜がジークフリート、第3夜が神々の黄昏です。
Wagnerは多くのモチーフ（動機）を用いていますが、このオペラでは4部作のほとんど全部を使っているのではないでしょうか。一方、
コーラスを使っていないのも特徴です。このオペラでは唯一男性合唱が登場しますがメータはこれを品のない作品として酷評しています。
