A melody "Nessun dorma!" in Turandot became famous through "torino2006".
Arakawa won Gold-medal in the figure-skating with the melody, which Pavarotti
recited at the Opening Ceremony. Puccini composed up to the scene of Liu's
suicide. His apprentice (Franco Alfano) completed the Opera after his death. Someone says
that Liu played a great role, not only on the Opera story, but also on
Puccini's private life. |
