Although many operas accompany one’s decease as a result of vendetta, treachery,
fatal misunderstanding etc., it must be striking if one’s passion of revenge
or hatred varies forgiveness through tolerance and patience. Mozart’s works
contain no murderous story. Maybe the exception is “Don Giovanni”. Compassionate
permission is the main theme in Mozart’s operas “Die Entfuehrung aus dem
Serail”, “La Clemenza di Tito”, “Die Zauberfloete”. On the contrary, in
the “La Forza del Destino” by Verdi, uppermost personages become lifeless. |

寛大な慈悲により赦される物語はつい涙を誘うものです。オペラには、最後には命を失う場面が多いですが、Mozartの作品はそれがほとんどありません。唯一かどうか、ドンジョバンニぐらいです。後宮からの誘拐（逃走）、皇帝ティートの慈悲、魔笛はいずれも慈悲が主題です。 ちなみに、登場人物のほとんどが死を迎える作品もあり、Verdiの運命の力がそれです。 |

title in French was also composed by Thomas, but the story was fictitious
one, describing the relation between Shakespeare and Elizabeth I. |
